    Delightful - Authentique

A while ago I received DT-samples of the most beautiful papers and embellishments from Fran – The brand new line
    “Delightful” by Authentique.
I had a blast working with them! Authentique has become one of my favourite manufacturers - they remind me a lot of My Minds Eye :)

There are various stickers to go with the papers and they too are beautiful and versatile!

It is a girly line, but as you can see it works perfectly to use for your boyish photos too! I really love the papers which are super qualitative and mild in the colors… The leaf die is made by PoppyStamps and it is called Meadow leaf. You find it here.

Stickers from Authentique and Bo Bunny.

Everything has been and can be purchased from Frantic Stamper. :)

    Ready for a new sketch?

Kathy just blogged a new sketch at the Frantic Stamper blog!

My take on it looks like this:

I stamped Frantic Stamper´s own stamp "Lady with cane" on vellum. I was not sure if it would work or not - but it did! It opens up for a LOT of more ideas that I´ve got! :-)

    Hugs from Jane

    Beautiful My Mind´s Eye!

When Fran got the new collections from MME I practically threw myself over them and bought close to everything...
    LOL!
I have always loved their stuff!

On this layout I used papers, decorations and stamps from the Follow your Heart collections and the Miss Caroline collections.
That is what I think is so great about their stuff - the go perfectly together even if you use stuff from different collections!

I have used quite a few stamps on this layout. I really love stamps on layouts too, not only on cards.

I used the MME - Follow Your Heart - Be Happy clearstamps that you can find here
and the MME - Miss Caroline - Dolled Up Favorite clear Stamps that you can find here
The largest stamp I used in bottom left corner and top right corner. I also used butterflies and bees :-)

I also used the hearts from this Inkadinkadoo stamp, and this We R Memorykeepers stamp.

    Thanks for visiting!

    Sketch Sunday at Frantic Stamper!

Sunday, and a new sketch at Frantic Stamper´s blog! YEEEY!
I LOVE to create using sketches!

This time I used one of Fran´s own stamps: "Peacock Pair"
A beautiful stamp, and it was a blast coloring it - because I just ADORE turquoise and purple together :-)

She has a lot of peacock stamp in her collection - I definitely need a few more now :-)
If you´re also fond of peacocks visit her webshop and write fran peacock in the searchfield. TADA!

    Here is my card :)

Make sure to send in a picture of your take on the sketch! :-) I would LOVE to share the blog-space with your creations!

A different kind of picture frame

I decided to make a mini album for some of our vacation pictures, instead of using regular picture frames. A great way to show some favorite pictures without having to use a whole bunch of picture frames that needs much more space.

This album is from Clear Scraps, and contains 6 pages. (All Mixed Up 3 ring chip album) I only used 4 of the pages, though – otherwise it would become too big for where it stands! It is bought from Fran, and it is still in stock - we are still struggling to get all items into the webshop though – so just email her if you want to have one :)

The papers used is from the collection My Mind´s Eye Kraft Fun Day – Happy days.

I sprayed all pages with Heidi Swapp Color Mists – using the complete set that was just PERFECT for the papers.  Superb colors! It doesn´t make a BIG statement, but without the shimmer it would become much more “flat”!

I also decided to use quite a few different stamps in this album.
Frantic Stamper Cling-Mounted Rubber Stamp - Stamp w/ Postmark, Hero Arts Clings – Antique background, Graphic 45 cling mounted stamps – ABC Primer #2  and a couple more.
I love to decorate with stamps. That works marvelous on layouts too, not only on cards!

On the last page I used Hot of the press Tool kit #2 for the heart. This tool kit is super versatile! You can use it as a template or as a mask. As you can see in the webshop there is lots of useful shapes - you will definately see more from me using this one!

I hope this can inspire you to find some of your favorite photos in your drawers and get them up on the shelves to enjoy!

    / Jane

    Go Kreate!

I was lucky enough to receive a die-set in my first Frantic Stamper DT-package.
Fran wanted me to try this company out, she was keen on making her first order with them but needed a review on it first.

The die-set is made by the British supplier “Go Kreate” and it is frames shaped like windows - six different sizes.

When I laid my eyes on it, I instantly knew I had to use it together with one of my favorite images right now: The Eiffel Tower!

The dies seem robust and qualitative, and cuts through perfectly with the Big Shot. I really love them! I can hardly wait until Fran puts her first order with “Go Kreate” – I really need more shapes from their collection – NOW! ;)
(Edit: I just got the information that she will make her first order with them on Monday!)

I used the stamp Large Eiffel Tower from Fran´s own collection. It is sold cling-mounted, and you find it here:
    http://www.franticstamper.com/Frantic-Stamper-Cling-Mounted-Rubber-Stamp--Lg-Eiffel-Tower_p_65207.html

I heat embossed it, and used Tim Holtz Distress powder (Vintage Photo) which gave the tower that perfect look!

Patterned papers and deco’s are from K&Company (by Susan Winget) – gorgeous stuff that you find here:

    Frantic Stamper sunday sketch

There has been published a great new sketch at the Frantic Stampers blog today.

When we got the sketch from Kathy a while ago, I printed it. But last night when I sat down to create I did from my memory of the sketch.
Quite funny, but it did end up looking a lot like the sketch anyways - don´t you think? Just a little bit "turned"...
It ended up being one of my "playful" ones. :)

Here is my take on it:

The stamp is from Inkadinkado and it is colored with Copic Sketch Markers.

Sunday sketch at Frantic Stamper today!

Here you see my take on the sketch you find at Frantic Stampers blog today. :)

It was such a long time since I las created with Kraft paper, and I really like the result!
The stamp is from Inkadinkado-Cling Stamps-Pet Dolls. A cute set of four usable stamps for only $3.49 (ca. 25 svenska kronor) BARGAIN!
Have you ever tried Inkadinkados cling stamps? This was my first time, and I completely fell in love! High quality and it clings perfectly...
It is colored with Copic Sketch Markers.

It would be great fun to see any of our readers take on the sketch! You find the email address where to send it in the blog!

You are five minutes from a completely finished homemade card!

I bet many of you are like me: in the middle of a hectic life. Sometimes we just don´t have an evening to spend making a card you need for someone’s special occasion. That doesn´t mean you have to go buy a card!

Today I made a card in five minutes, and that included the planning! I will tell you how I did it!

Items used: 3xBazzill cardstock, 1xpatterned paper, stamp, ink, embossing powder, fluid chalk, glue, button, stickers, paper cutter and a heat gun. (Everything used can be bought at Frantic Stamper.)

The size of the card can be chosen by the stamp you use. I used 9901-O Timepieces from Fran’s plate #99 which is the size 4,25" x 4,50" so here is how I worked with this clean & simple card.

First I stamped on the patterned paper. I used Bo Bunny’s "Smoochable - Heart Strings" and put on the Embossing Powder and heated it up with my gun. Powder used: a shiny powder that has become one of my favorites: American Crafts Zing - Black with Opaque Finish.
Then I glued it on my first cardstock (I used the color brown, I like to get great contrasts. The second cardstock is red. And the third and last is black and the base (scored in the middle, size 10,25"x6" before I scored it)
I chalked the edges and glued it all together. At last I glued on the text (alphabet stickers) and the button…

…TADA! All done! Quick, clean and simple!

    Shopping weekend in Paris

I am so happy that I had the fortune to receive some stamps from Fran´s own collection! When I started to work with them I found a lot more “must haves”. I love them! Check them out if you didn´t already: http://franticstamper.com/stamps.htm

On this card I wanted to catch the feeling of a really great shopping day. Can you feel it? :)

I used 8207-J - Skipping rope from plate 82 (2002), but cut away the rope as it fitted better with my theme. That is what I call versatile!
    I also used 6201-P - Paris Montage #2 from plate 62.

I tried on a few techniques and had a lot of fun: heat embossing, “regular” stamping, misting and coloring using Copic Sketch Markers.
As you can see I used the wooden embellishment both as it is and as a mask. That can be replaced by any embellishment or even a punched out motive from paper. Cheap and super neat, don´t you think?

    / Jane

Two "first times" on this card!

It is the first time I tried heat embossing, and it is the first time I use a bow-maker :-)
(Fran - be prepared for a new fill-up order for more embossing powders - this was sooo much fun!!!) ;-)

I got inspired by Kathys latest Sunday Sketch, and here is what I came up with.

Stamp: Memory Box Polar Bear Globe, Die: Grand Snow Globe, White and black Bazzill cardstock, Patterned paper from MME Kraft Fun Day collection.
The thickers and the ribbon are from American Crafts. The bling from Prima. Fran holds a huge selection from both :)

I am a sucker for tools, I must admit that. But when I found the bowmaker it was really something I bought because I felt the true need for it. I have a very hard time getting nice bows on my own. The E-Z Bowz - Bowmaker was really easy to work with!

This is my first try, and I am sure it will get better after more training! Even this first one is much much better than my previous ones... Does it look ok you think?

    Hugs from Jane

    Christmas Toffee gift bags

Every year Michael (my husband-to-be) and our boys makes the best Christmas Toffee in the whole wide world :-P

This year I decided to give some of it away, in cutely decorated cellofanbags.

The base is a piece of Bazzill cardstock, scored in the middle. I used a stamp called Sleepy Santa (DoodleFactorys “Tis the Season”) colored with Copic Ciao pens. I also used Kaisercraft December 25 6"x6" Paper Pad and Micro Mono Stickers from the Basic Grey collection Curio.
I am totally in love with the Dec25-collection!!! Every single paper and deco is simply beautiful, don´t you think?
I stapled the bag and deco together with one of my favourite tools: Tim Holtz Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.

Simple and easy, but so much more fun to give it away like this.

    Thanks for visiting!
